ELIGIBILITY FOR MALTA CITIZENSHIP
For Malta Citizenship by Investment, the primary applicant must be at least 18 years old. The spouse, children under the age of 28, parents, and elders over the age of 55 are all considered eligible dependents.
FIT AND PROPER’ TEST
The Government of Malta is committed to the highest standard of due diligence to ensure only deserving and reputable applicants are allowed to proceed for the grant of Maltese citizenship. Applicants must demonstrate a clean criminal record, verified with the International Criminal Court, INTERPOL and other authorities.
GOOD HEALTH
Applicants must show they do not suffer from a contagious disease or a health condition that could become a significant burden on the Maltese health system.
CONTRIBUTION TO THE NATIONALDEVELOPMENT & SOCIAL FUND
To qualify for Maltese citizenship through exceptional services, the main applicant is required to contribute at least €750,000 to Malta after completing 1 year of residency or €600,000 after completing 3 years of residency.
Dependents of the Main Applicant are required to contribute €50,000 each

Applicants are required to make a philanthropic contribution of at least €10,000
PURCHASED OR RENTAL PROPERTY
Applicants are required to enter a property rental contract for at least €16,000 per year on five year contracts. Or buy a property of at least €700,000 and held it for five years.
PROCESS & TIMELINE
Applications must be submitted with the required forms, along with the required fees and supporting documentation. Applications that turn out to have misleading information or omissions will be rejected after thorough due diligence investigations.
The application for a residency permit will be filed , after the if the Tier 1 due diligence checks are successful. Upon establishing residency, an eligibility application will be submitted, and the government will conduct additional (tiers 2, 3, and 4)background checks before presenting the results to the aMaltese minister, who will decide if the applicant is qualified for citizenship.
If accepted, a citizenship application will be submitted to the Community Malta Agency after 12/ 36 months of keeping the residency permit.
After the minister decides if the application is eligible for Maltese citizenship, the successful applicant must meet the exceptional investment, contribution, and property requirements. Following that, the candidate will be invited to Malta to swear the oath of loyalty and be awarded with a Maltese certificate of naturalization.
For the next five years, the Community Malta Agency will conduct regular monitoring.
FEES STRUCTURE
Due diligence Fees: the official fees payable to the Community Malta Agency for the application process. DueDiligence Fees are applicable for persons who are over the age of 12.
Gov Admin Fees: the official fees payable to the Community Malta Agency for administrative purposes.
